Wreaths Across America
Wreaths Across America (WAA) is a naional nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and remembering U.S. veterans. Its mission is summed up in three words. Remember, Honor, Teach. WAA was founded by Morrill Worcester in 1992, he is the owner of Worcester Wreath Company in Maine. What began as a small tribute at Arlington Natioanl Cemetary has grown into a nationwide movement involving milllions of volunteers.
This past Saturday, hundreds of people attended the ceremony at the USAFA Cemetary. Scouts, Veterans, active duty, Gold star families were there to volunteer and place wreaths on gravesites. The weather was perfect for a December day, and time to reflect what our Veterans have done for this country.
