CST Thursdays
This week, Combat Survival Training (CST) took place at the Outdoor Leadership Course (OLC). Each of the rotations they go through at the course is designed to prepare them for different scenarios they may encounter down the road. The first half of the day takes place on the ground while the second half takes place up on the Leader Challenge Tower. Cadets harness up and clip into the course to partake in challenges at a greater height.
The training took place at the 98th Training Facility. According to the USAFA website, this facility is typically used to train safety and emergency procedures, which enhance student confidence and maximize performance under extremely stressful conditions.
