Missouri Night

This week the Academy welcomed the Parent Club of Metro St. Louis with their 1st annual Missouri Night!

132 Cadets in total attended the event and 52 of them were Cadets from St. Louis and the surrounding areas.

Fun Fact: The caterer for the evening was C1C Marcus Brinker's mom, who he encouraged to cater the evening's event after having been to other State Nights.

During check-in, Cadets were handed raffle tickets and got to go up to the stage and choose what prizes they wanted to try to win.

For dinner, Cadets got to enjoy Skii Soda and Sun Drop, Pork Steaks, Brisket, Cheesy Mashed Potatos and Green Beans. Then for dessert, there was Gooey Butter Cake and Ted Drewes Frozen Custard.

Sponsors for the evening included Nestle, St. Louis Blues Hockey, B and B barbecue, Scott's tree service, and Blues Hog bbq sauce.

Throughout the event, after the Cadets distributed their raffle tickets the games and raffling began! There were a lot of Trivia Games played, including Heads and Tails, Dead or Alive, Mario Kart Balloon Pop, and so many more!

Prizes included a corn hole set, team fleece blankets, local pottery, cardinal gear, cardinal/rockies tickets, jewelry, a Missouri flag flown over the state capitol, a US flag flown over the Illinois capitol, Blues gear and Alton Illinois t-shirts, and so much more!

We got clips of some of the games that the Cadets participated in to also win prizes.

Longest game of Jenga, we have seen to date! Enjoy!

The Parents Club has said that their inaugural event had been fun to plan and put together. Going on to say, "It has been really good to get the parents together and work as a group and to see everyones talents shine."

We can't wait to see them back again next year for the 2nd Annual Missouri Night!
