Azimuth Summer Program

Azimuth is a developing summer program at USAFA. Cadets from the United States Naval Academy, Reserve Officer Training Corps, and the United States Military Academy, join USAFA cadets for the 3 week program. The overall goal is " To educate, train and inspire men and women to become officers of character motivated to lead the United States Air Force and Space Force in service to our Nation", similar to the Space Training and Readiness Command- STARCOM. The Azimuth program includes cadets visiting local military space bases, meeting with active duty Guardians, visiting commercial space industry partners, building and launching model rockets, exploring the Space Domain through Augmented Reality, completing a neutral buoyancy mission (Scuba), running an Electronic Warfare simulation, and partering with NASA, to design and execute zero-gravity experiments.

We were able to watch and take photos of the kids builiding their model rockets, vote on the best one, and launch the rockets outside. While we also took a tour with the cadets of the Estes facility, we were not allowed to take photos.
