Fountain Jumps - Class of 2023

The Class of 2023 is one step closer to being members of the Long Blue Line! They completed their final exams and celebrated by jumping into the fountains on the Terrazzo.

The tradition of jumping into the fountains began with the first class of graduates in 1959. The fountains were filled in and levelled in 1975 due to drainage problems. Later, between 1998 and 2000, the two fountains on either end of the Air Garden were re-excavated and filled with water again.

The fountains were under construction about two years ago. Once completed, the area was returned to the original 1950s design. The project was funded by the classes of 1972, 1975, and 1976 and the Association of Graduates.

The next step for the Class of 2023 will be to complete their commissioning ceremonies and then graduation. WebGuy looks forward to being there for all events leading up to graduation, and finally, the graduation ceremony!
