Fall Intramurals: Groups 1 & 2

This Fall’s Intramural Sports are in full swing with squadron competitions. On Monday evening, Groups 1 and 2(Squadrons 1-20) continued their matches and games. This fall’s current intramural sports that the cadets are participating in are volleyball, tennis, cross country, softball and soccer.  The games were spread out all over USAFA, from the Terrazo quads all the way down to the athletic fields and broken down into the cadet squadron groups to help deal with social distancing.

The USAFA Athletic Department's goal for Intramurals is for cadets to develop a positive attitude toward physical fitness, sportsmanship, and competitiveness. This is accomplished through providing leadership experience by giving cadets the opportunity to supervise, coach, manage and officiate squadron IM teams.

The Intramural program has existed since the very first class of USAFA, (59’). This program is mandatory for all cadets unless they are a NCAA athletic or on a competitive club team that gives them LOS (Limited on Status).

Groups 3 & 4 are planned for this evening and should be up by tomorrow.
